Powder is the raw material of industrial raw materials. The important indicators for characterizing ceramic powder are particle size, particle size distribution and particle morphology. This index is directly related to various properties of ceramics. High quality ceramics usually require high purity of powder raw materials. Superfine, non-agglomerated and other elements; the preparation of high-quality powder usually has physical methods and chemical methods, the physical method is simple, the large particles are pulverized into small particles by mechanical action, the process may be mixed with impurities; chemical methods include gas phase synthesis , thermal decomposition method, hot pressing sintering method, arc plasma method, vapor deposition method, etc., chemical methods generally have the disadvantages of complicated process, expensive equipment, demanding raw materials, and certain risks; therefore, non-oxidation in different application fields Ceramics need to choose different raw material preparation methods according to market value.

The chemical bonds between oxide atoms are mainly ionic bonds, while non-oxides are generally covalent bonds with strong bonding. Therefore, non-oxide ceramics are generally more refractory and difficult to sinter than oxides, and non-oxide ceramics have sintering methods. Atmospheric pressure sintering, reaction sintering, hot press sintering, hot isostatic pressing, etc.;
In practice, different production processes are usually selected according to the composition and bonding characteristics of the ceramics. Then, according to which specific factors, the appropriate molding process is selected to eliminate and control the defects such as cracking, deformation and grain growth during the sintering process. The regulation of the interface structure to ensure production efficiency and product accuracy, while reducing the production cost of the enterprise, is particularly important for the preparation of fine ceramics.
Focus 3, the application of non-oxide materials
Non-oxide ceramics have many excellent properties, such as low coefficient of thermal expansion, high strength, high hardness, self-lubricity, chemical abrasion resistance, and good thermal shock resistance and mechanical impact resistance. Common silicon carbide ceramics are good at high temperatures. Structural ceramic materials and heating elements; boron nitride ceramics can be used as high temperature bearings, and are also ideal for high temperature insulation and heat dissipation materials, metallurgical containers and high temperature abrasive materials; silicon nitride ceramics are currently used in ceramic engines, bearings, circuit boards, etc. It is considered to be a new material with excellent comprehensive performance in the field of structural ceramics and the most promising alternative to nickel-based alloys in high-tech and high-temperature fields; other such as titanium carbide, boron carbide, aluminum nitride, sialon, etc. They have obtained different uses in different fields.
