From January to November 2018, the number of shipbuilding completed in China decreased year on year, and the number of new undertaking and handheld ship orders continued to increase.Key monitoring enterprises industrial output value and other major economic indicators have narrowed.




From January to November, China completed 32.93 million deadweight tons of shipbuilding, down 17.4 percent year on year.Orders for new ships reached 33.06 million deadweight tons, up 30.3% year on year.At the end of November, orders for handheld ships reached 87.36 million deadweight tons, an increase of 7% year on year and basically the same as at the end of 2017.


From January to November, China completed 29.93 million deadweight tons of export ships, down 19.3% year on year.To undertake export ship orders of 29.75 million deadweight tons, up 29.8% year on year;At the end of November, orders for handheld export ships reached 78.01 million deadweight tons, up 2.8% year on year.Export ships accounted for 90.9%, 90% and 89.3% of China's shipbuilding completed, new orders received and handheld orders respectively.


From January to November, the total industrial output value of 80 key monitoring enterprises in the shipping industry reached 334 billion yuan, down 9.4% year on year.The export value reached 123.2 billion yuan, down 8.7 percent year-on-year.The main business income of 80 enterprises reached 254 billion yuan, down 6.6% year on year.Profits totaled 1.72 billion yuan, down 25.2% from a year earlier.
